@lynda, I have just started an Ashtanga yoga practice...SO HARD!!  Any words of advice for me about not embracing the commitment? You inspire me!!

@JulieatTheWELL why does it not surprise me that you jumped into the hardest yoga ever???    Smiley Happy

 

I actually just studied restorative yoga.  Good for type A people (yes, that is you!) Probably harder for you than Ashtanga.  Because you have to stay still and quiet the mind. It is all about balance. I actually got to study the brain and the nervous system. So intriguing.  You actually need both practices for a balanced life.  The movement practice and the still one.  The Yin and Yang. I am reading the Morning Miracle right now. Highly recommend.

Ohhh you are so inside my head @lynda!!  I am super intrigued by restorative yoga and of course, will add that to my list now! Yay! I love trying new things!  Also downloading Miracle Morning for my plane ride next week... #bookclub! Thanks for the inspiration and I'll see you on THE MAT and at Office Hour on Wednesday!! @JulieatTheWELL one of things I learned that really helped me (I tend to be a type A person too) is that all you need is one pose a day!  15 mins!

LOL, @JulieatTheWELL - it only works if you put them on and head out the door! I love the fact that running requires a minimum of gear or prep (driving to the gym, etc.). On workdays I usually check in with email and QB Community first thing in the morning - which is what I'm doing right now! - and then GO. By the time I get back I find that I have magically come up with a general work plan and my priorities for the day.
