Hi James, I have about 9 COGS accounts, and about 16 current classes, although I'd love to bring over my historical classes as well - about 30 more. It sounds like there isn't really a good solution and looking at @Rustler's breakdown of QBO vs QBDT I'm thinking about making the painful migration back to QBDT. I had originally upgraded to be able to give a new employee access (QBDT is on my own computer right now - not a network), and add payroll. At least I can add payroll in QBDT. As I use QBO more it seems like they limit so much you can do, including editing of back-dated items which is driving me crazy. Thoughts?

Disappointed because I just upgraded from Desktop to QBO Essentials + Payroll. Migrated all my data, including classes, which we use to run P&L on different projects. Unfortunately, I cannot enter "Classes" for any new data so all our project payments and invoicing are stalled trying to figure out a work around. Does anybody have a creative solution to pull this type of report without upgrading to Plus to get "Classes"? (That is the ONLY feature that Plus has that we would need - which feels not worth it for a small business.) Here is our scenario: -All our imported data (expenses from vendors & invoices to clients) have classes assigned -We cannot run reports by class anymore -We cannot add class to any new expenses or invoices -However, oddly, it looks like time sheet projects for employees HAVE to be assigned a class, of which we cannot create new ones! -We have multiple clients and vendors on the same "class" (project) so it doesn't make sense to pull a P&L by one or the other Any ideas? Suggestions?
